Wildwood Gourmet

The average diameter of each Wildwood Gourmet Cutting Board varies.

Turn any countertop into a work of art with the Wildwood Gourmet, a circular cutting board that depicts an exquisite cross-section of growth rings in the log from which it was reclaimed. It’s in the summer that this wood becomes mechanically stronger, otherwise known as summer wood. Crafted from solid Texas pecan wood, it’s perfect for a variety of preparation needs and can be used to serve everything from meats to cheeses to cake. So lovely and functional, you might start hugging trees.

This summer wood is named for many childhood summer days spent on Shell Island discovering wild woods and branches in the dunes. After a sack lunch, juice box and another coat of sunscreen it was time for more adventures. No one ever walked away without a souvenir from the day’s activities- whether it was a seashell, sand dollar, hermit crab, or a piece of Wildwood.

** Please Note: Every Wildwood Gourmet Cutting Board is one-of-a-kind and will vary in shape from the photograph. We make every effort to preserve the bark along the outer edges of the board, however, nature does not always cooperate with our efforts.

Cutting Board Care Tips

For Maintaining your Tin Roof Cutting Board

When you take care of your Tin Roof cutting board, it is likely that your grandchildren will be using it. Our boards become more and more attractive with age when cared for properly.

  • Hand Wash with soap and water. Air dry on both.
  • Do not submerge in water and do not place in dishwasher.
  • To sanitize wooden cutting board, wash with a cloth or sponge soaked in white distilled vinegar. Leave for 10 minutes then rinse with warm water. Air dry.
  • Tin Roof cutting boards require a regular rub with food grade mineral oil to keep from drying out. Use a soft cloth to evenly rub mineral oil into your clean wooden cutting board. Allow the oil to soak into the board for 5-10 minutes. Remove excess surface oil with a clean dry cloth.
  • Store board on its side to allow the moisture levels to even out.
  • Be sure to use both sides of your cutting board. Using one side will cause moisture to soak into one side of the board, but not the other.
